Director of Business Development

Freedom Consulting Group is looking for a Director/Manager of Business Development to direct, manage, and support all business development activities within the federal government sector in the Baltimore/DC metro area.  The primary focus of those activities will be on the DoD and Intelligence Community.  The candidate should leverage key relationships and contacts within the government, as well as contacts within other companies, to achieve defined growth and revenue goals.  The ideal candidate will have several years of experience directing business development efforts in this market space, and will be able to clearly demonstrate success in those efforts.  A TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph is required. 

Key Responsibilities:
•         Originate and develop new business opportunities and leads
•         Establish strategic relationships with other companies
•         Gather intelligence on customers, competitors, and opportunities
•         Assess opportunities and make recommendations to executive leadership concerning those opportunities, prospective clients, and teaming/partnering strategies
•         Market the company and corporate capabilities to prospective clients and partners
•         Work with executive leadership in setting business development goals
•         Lead the development of the 1 and 3 year business development plans
•         Assess and lead acquisition opportunities, if appropriate
•         Handle all interactions with clients, partners, coworkers and other 3rd parties in an honest and ethical manner
•         Lead proposal development efforts
•         Assist in proposal writing and review
•         Participate in team mate proposal reviews

• Strong Java experience working in console applications

• Moderate SQL (Oracle) experience to be able to comprehend existing analytics
